Kithore police of Meerut have arrested a robber after an encounter on Thursday morning. After firing at the police, he was shot in the leg in retaliatory firing. A looted bike, mobile and pistol have been recovered from the miscreant.

SP Dehat Rakesh Kumar Mishra said that Kithore Police has arrested Faizan alias Fauji, son of Shamshad, resident of Mohalla Midipada Town Police Station, Garhmukteshwar, Hapur, near the track of Radhana Canal from Shahjahanpur, after an encounter in the morning. Many cases are registered against Faizan in Kithore and Garhmukteshwar police stations. A 315 bore pistol, a looted bike and a looted mobile phone have been recovered from him. The accused had committed many incidents of robbery.
