The air of Meerut again became polluted. A day earlier the AQI air quality index of the city was 210. However, on Wednesday it increased to 268. Smog increased in the morning and evening. Due to this, people are facing problems like eye irritation.

UP Shahi, meteorologist of Sardar Patel Agricultural University, said – Due to increase in coldness in the weather, humidity is increasing. Due to this the level of pollution is also increasing. The air of Meerut is continuously getting polluted. The effect of smog has also started increasing in the morning and evening. There was smog since morning on Wednesday. Due to increasing smog and pollution, people are having trouble breathing.
There is a problem of burning sensation in the eyes. Talking about the overall AQI in the city on Wednesday, its level reached 268 in Meerut. Talking about parts of the city, 284 AQI was recorded in Pallavapuram, 290 in Delhi Road, 275 in Begumpul, 310 in Jaibhimnagar and 202 in Ganganagar.
The effect of cold started increasing at night
Meteorologist UP Shahi said- A decline was recorded in the maximum temperature of the day on Wednesday. The effect of cold has started increasing during day and night. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of the day was recorded at the weather office at 30.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 17.0 degrees Celsius. Due to falling day and night temperatures, along with increasing cold, humidity will also increase.
