India will face South Africa in the 2nd T20I on Sunday (November 10). The match is scheduled to take place at St. Georgeโ€™s Park in Gqeberha. India won the series opener in Durban by 61 runs on Friday, but apart from Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma, others failed to contribute much with the bat. Since making a century in his second T20I for India against Zimbabwe, Abhishek Sharma has failed to score big runs, and the left-handed batter will be eager to come up with a big show on Sunday.

India will also have high expectations from Rinku Singh, who has struggled with consistency. In the last match, where the stage was set for him to play an impactful knock in the death overs, he failed to deliver. Hardik Pandya, also after a forgetful outing in Durban, will be desperate to live up to his reputation and deliver with both bat and ball.

For the second T20I, India could include KKR all-rounder Ramandeep Singh in the playing XI in place of Axar Patel. India already have two quality spinners in the form of Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi in the side, and they picked up three wickets each in the first T20I as well.

The inclusion of Ramandeep, who is picked in the Indian team for the first time in his career, will add depth to Indiaโ€™s batting unit, and he can also contribute with his bowling.

It will also be interesting to see if Yash Dayal or Vijaykumar Vyshak get a chance to play in the second T20I on Sunday. Both the RCB players are yet to play at the highest level for India and are picked in the T20I team for the first time in their careers.

Dayal, who impressed with his performances in IPL 2024 for RCB, is a left-arm pacer and will be a like-for-like replacement of Arshdeep Singh if the Indian team management decides to rest the star pacer.

Indiaโ€™s likely playing XI for the 2nd T20I: Sanju Samson (WK), Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav (C), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakravarthy, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh.
