Mercedes Benz Sales: Sold 12.7k Plus Units in India in Nine Months, Details Inside – News18

Mercedes Benz says that demand for high-end Mercedes-Benz, AMG, and EQS models belonging to the TEV segment remained in the strong category.

The luxury car manufacturer Mercedes Benz has been witnessing good sales figures in the past few months, a major credit goes to the E-Class GLC and GLE.  The company recently shared the sales number, claiming that it has managed to maintain sales momentum to date.

As per the details shared by the German car manufacturer, it stated that the company has delivered more than 12,766 new cars to Indian customers between January to September 2023.

Mercedes Benz Business Growth

The company also informed that the business has grown by 11 percent YTD,  and continues to witness all-around demand for its products, even at the time when there are supply challenges in Q3. The release also says that demand for high-end Mercedes-Benz, AMG, and EQS models belonging to the TEV segment remained in the strong category, which somehow managed to contribute to the overall sales by 25 percent, thanking the segment that includes S-Class, GLS, GLS Maybach, S-Class Maybach, EQS, and AMGs.

Mercedes Benz Strong Segment

Apart from this, Mercedes-Benz also claimed that its BEV portfolio, which has a strong product series comprising the EQE 500 SUV, EQB, and the updated luxury sedan EQS 580 luxury sedan remained in the customer’s top preference.

Here’s What Company’s CEO Says About Achievement

Commenting about the same, CEO, Mercedes-Benz India’s Managing Director and CEO, Santosh Iyer said “Strong desirability for Mercedes-Benz cars buoyed our January-September sales momentum. However, we were not able to supply as per the full market potential, especially for new products like the GLC; though we are making every effort to fulfill customer expectations, despite current supply chain challenges.”

In addition, he said, “The TEV segment continues to grow in customer preference with up to 22% growth, comprising one of every four Mercedes sold in India, and the launch of the EQE SUV has also been successful, giving a fillip to our electric offering.”
