Mahayogi Gorakhnath University has got new leadership. Dr. Surinder Singh, former Vice Chancellor of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysore, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Gorakhnath University.

Uttar Pradesh CM and University Chancellor Yogi Adityanath has announced his name. From November 14, he will replace the current Vice Chancellor Major General Dr. Atul Vajpayee, during whose tenure the university has made many achievements.
Dr. Surinder Singh’s distinguished career and wide experience Dr. Surinder Singh’s career is full of exceptional achievements. Dr. Singh, an MBBS and MD holder, recently completed his Vice Chancellor tenure at JSS AHER. Apart from this, he has also served on many important positions like Drug Controller General of India, Director of National Institute of Biologicals and Additional Director in the Central Drug Lab. From Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner to AIIMS, Delhi, his contributions have been appreciated in the medical and pharma industry.
Dr. Singh’s global recognition in pharma and research Under the leadership of Dr. Singh, JSS AHER made its place among the top 25 universities of India and also received research grant of Rs 55 crore in 5 years.
Due to his global influence in the pharma industry, he got a place in the list of “Most Influential People” for three consecutive years. Apart from this, he has also been honored with prestigious awards like Pharma Bio World Award, Dr. BC Rai Memorial Award and “Top 20 Vice Chancellors of India”.
Remarkable tenure of Major General Dr. Atul Vajpayee The tenure of the first Vice Chancellor of the University, Major General Dr. Atul Vajpayee has also been commendable. During his tenure, courses like MBBS, BAMS were started in the university and MoUs were signed with about 3 dozen national and international institutions.
Expressing happiness over the appointment of Dr. Surinder Singh, Dr. Vajpayee expressed his gratitude to CM Yogi Adityanath and said, “Dr. Surinder Singh’s wide experience will take the university to new heights.”
A new beginning for Gorakhpur University With the appointment of Dr. Surinder Singh, Mahayogi Gorakhnath University is entering a new era. It is expected that under his leadership this university will achieve new achievements in the field of education and research.
