Mizoram Election Results LIVE: The counting of votes for the Mizoram Assembly elections will begin at 8 am today. The 40-seat Assembly went into polling on November 7 and saw an approximate voter turnout of 80.66 per cent. Incumbent chief minister Zoramthanga of the Mizo National Front is contesting from the Aizawl East-I constituency. Exit polls had predicted a close contest between MNF and Zoram People’s Movement, indicating that such contest may even lead to a hung assembly. The poll of polls had given 17 seats to ZPM, 14 seats to MNF, 8 seats to Congress and 1 to BJP.
