A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in nine districts of Ayodhya and Devipatan divisions of eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has claimed that there may be heavy rain here in the next 24 hours. There was a change in the weather here in the last 24 hours. People troubled by the sun and sultry heat on Friday got relief on Saturday. At the same time, the water level of Saryu has reached just 20 cm away from the danger mark.

In Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Barabanki, Amethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur and Shravasti, Saturday was the hottest day of the month of August. Meteorological Department issued yellow alert

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in nine districts in both the divisions. The department claims that there may be heavy rain in some areas of these districts. There was a change in the weather on Saturday. Due to cloudy sky in Ram Nagari, people have got some respite from the sun and sultry heat. Prof Amar Nath Mishra of Acharya Narendra Dev Agricultural Technological University said that the sky will remain cloudy in eastern Uttar Pradesh district. There is a chance of light to heavy rain here.

Saryu water level 20 cm away from danger mark

The effect of rain on the hills and release of water from Sharda and Girija barrage is visible in Ayodhya as well. Ayodhya in-charge of the Central Water Commission, Aman Chaudhary said that the water level of Saryu was measured at 92.530 at 8 am on Saturday. The water level has risen by about 20 cm in the last 24 hours. The water level of the river is near the danger mark of 92.730.
