Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Amol Kale died of a heart attack in the US on Monday. He had arrived with two other MCA officials to watch the T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.

He was accompanied by MCA secretary Ajinkya Nayak and Apex Council member Suraj Samat.

Kale is a resident of Nagpur. He is a businessman. He had good relations with the current Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis. Kale was a sports lover. Apart from being the President of Maharashtra Cricket Association, he was also the co-promoter of the tennis-ball franchise cricket league Indian Street Premier League.

He was also a member of Tirupati Balaji Devasthan Trust
Amol Kale was also a member of the Tirupati Balaji Devasthan Trust in Andhra Pradesh for three consecutive years. He played an important role in finding land for the Lord Sri Venkateswara temple in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai.
