It is alleged that even after getting the information about the employees being beaten up, no officer of the Municipal Corporation came to save them. The employees somehow saved their lives by running away.

A complaint was lodged by the Municipal Corporation

On behalf of the Nagar Nigam, a complaint has been filed in Thakurganj police station on behalf of drivers Mohd. Riyaz and Raju posted from the implementing agency for obstructing government work, assault and attempt to murder. It is being told that as soon as the employees tried to catch a stray calf, more than a dozen local residents surrounded the squad. When the employees told the people, who were angry at the capture of the animal, that they were Nagar Nigam employees, the local residents became more furious. The local residents started beating the employees. Whoever got hold of them started beating the employee with whatever came in their hands.

The animals were also freed

More than half a dozen stray animals loaded on corporation vehicles were forcibly taken down from the vehicles and freed. The municipal corporation employees who somehow managed to escape have given an application to Thakurganj police station to register an FIR against more than a dozen people who had beaten them. Animal welfare officer Dr. Abhinav Verma said that immediately after receiving the information, Revenue Inspector Parmeshwar Prajapati, Mo Shahan, regional cattle catching in-charge Abhinav Bharti were sent. By then the incident of beating had calmed down.

The employees union expressed displeasure

The Municipal Corporation Employees Union has expressed its displeasure in this matter. Union President Anand Verma reached Thakurganj police station and inquired about the condition of the employees and demanded that an FIR be registered. Anand Verma said that such incidents are happening with the employees continuously. Employees are being beaten due to lack of police force whereas a campaign should be run under the leadership of the officer and in-charge.

Earlier, a few days ago, the municipal corporation team which had gone to catch stray animals near Rajnikhand Sainik Dhaba in Shardanagar Extension was taken hostage. Seeing the team there, some people got angry and surrounded the team. After the displeasure of the Municipal Corporation Employees Union, when the officers reached the spot, they were freed.
