Lover and girlfriend were murdered in Lakhimpur Kheri. At around 10 in the morning, the bodies of both were found lying outside the village. Both their heads were badly injured. An attempt has been made to erase the identity of the girl by attacking her face with a heavy object. While the young man was shot on his temple. A pistol was also found lying at the spot. The people of the village informed the incident to Mitauli police station. SP Ganesh Prasad Shaha also reached the spot and conducted investigation. The incident took place in Mitauli village of Mitauli police station area.

The boy has been identified as Ravindra Kumar who was born in Kalua Moti.
