Renowned musician Shravan Rathore is admitted to a hospital in Mumbai due to a corona infection. His condition is said to be critical. Shravan was a well-known Bollywood musician in the 90s. He, along with composer Nadeem, gained popularity by giving great music in many films. The Nadeem-Shravan pair was considered one of the most talked about pairings of the 90s.
The duo first gave music for the Bhojpuri film ‘Dangal’ in 1977, in which their composed song ‘Kashi Hile Patna Hile’ proved to be a big hit. After this, both of them gave music for the first time for the Bollywood film ‘Jeena Sikha Liya’ but both got success due to the music in the film ‘Aashiqui’ which proved to be a huge hit.
After this film, the Nadeem-Shravan duo became Gulshan Kumar’s favorite pair of the T series and he gave more than one music in many T-series films. Both used to fondly call Gulshan a father. But Jin Gulshan Kumar had taken Nadeem-Shravan to the lofty heights. His murder made both of them extremely difficult.
Nadeem trapped in Gulshan Kumar’s murder
On August 12, 1997, Gulshan was shot dead outside Jiteshwar Mahadev Temple in South Andheri area of Mumbai. Abu Salem had asked singer Gulshan Kumar to give Rs 5 lakh every month. Gulshan Kumar refused, saying that by paying this much money, he would make a bhandara in Vaishno Devi. Angered by this, Salem had shot Gulshan Kumar’s day in broad daylight through shooter Raja.
It was alleged that Nadeem was involved in the planning of this murder. In this case Nadeem escaped to England after the name surfaced. In 2002, an Indian court quashed the case against him for his involvement in the murder due to lack of evidence, but the warrant for his arrest was not withdrawn, due to which Nadeem is still upset.
A few years ago, he demanded an apology from the Indian government. He said that he is innocent and he does not want his parents to die without seeing him innocent. It was only after Nadeem got involved in this case that his pair broke up with Shravan and then did not accompany the music in any film after 2005’s ‘Dosti: Friends Forever’.
