‘Namaste US’: PM Modi Begins His Speech At New York Community Event – News18

PM Modi At Nassau Community Event In Nassau: PM Modi thanked members of Indian diaspora community who came in large numbers to attend the Modi&US event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi address over 13,000 attendees at Nassau Coliseum by saying ‘Namaste US’ on Sunday at the community event organised by Modi&US and members of the Indian diaspora.

Artists like Aditya Gadhvi and Hanumankind opened the ceremony along with performers from the Indian diaspora who showcased India’s cultural diversity through songs and dances.

The Prime Minister began his speech with chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

The Prime Minister told Indians gathered at the event that they are nation’s ‘strongest ambassadors’ for strengthening people-to-people ties between India and the US.

“Your love is my good fortune. Your talent is unmatched,” Modi told a packed Nassau Coliseum.

Pointing to the diversity of the Indian diaspora in the US, he said during the event there are many who speak different languages and showcase India’s linguistic diversity.

The group said that over 13,200 attendees representing India’s religious, linguistic and cultural diversity and more than 500 welcome partners from over 40 states of the US attended the event. Over 500 performers from across the US graced the event with their performances.
