Farmers of Punjab-Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have been agitating against the agriculture bills of the central government for the last five days. Demonstrations continue on Delhi’s borders. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi for the first time today to celebrate Dev Diwali on Kartik Purnima. The PM clarified the government’s opinion on the confusion regarding the MSP to farmers of the country from Kashi. Also targeted the opposition. Said that those who do politics are scared by spreading confusion. But now not with deceit, work is being done with holy intention like Ganga water. Let’s know about PM’s address 10 big things …

Farmers get benefits due to expansion of connectivity

  • With the beautification of Kashi in the past years, the work that has been done on the connectivity here, you are now seeing the benefit of it. New highways, pull-flyovers, widening of roads to reduce traffic jams, the work that is currently being done in and around Benaras has never happened since independence. When modern connectivity expands in an area, our farmers benefit greatly. Over the years, efforts have been made to create storage, cold storage arrangements along modern roads in the villages. A fund of 1 lakh crore rupees has also been created for this.
  • A variety of black rice variety was used here 2 years ago to increase the income of the farmers of Chandauli. Last year, around 400 farmers were given this rice to grow in the Kharif season. A committee was formed of these farmers, market was searched for it. A good example of how the farmers are benefiting from the efforts and modern infrastructure of the government is the black rice-black rice of Chandauli. This rice is bringing prosperity to the homes of the farmers of Chandauli. While normal rice sells for Rs 35-40 a kg, this best rice is being sold for up to Rs 300. The great thing is that Black Rice has also got overseas market. For the first time this rice has been exported to Australia, that too at the rate of around Rs.

Legal protection also if farmers get new options
India’s agricultural products are famous all over the world. Should the farmer not have access to this big market and higher prices? If someone considers transactions from the old system only, then where has that been stopped? New agricultural reforms have given farmers new options and new legal protection. Earlier, transactions outside the market were illegal. Now the small farmer can also take legal action on every deal that is out of the market. The farmer has now also found new options and legal protection from deception.

Fears are being made the basis of protest

  • Governments make policies, make laws and regulations. If policies and laws are supported, then some questions are also natural. It is part of democracy and has been a living tradition in India. But for some time, a different trend has been seen in the country. Earlier it used to be that if someone did not like the decision of the government, then it was opposed. But for some time, we are seeing that now the basis of opposition is not being decided but apprehensions are being made. It is up-propagated that the decision is fine, but it can happen later. Confusion is spread in society about what has not happened yet, which will never happen. The same is happening in the case of agricultural reforms. These are the same people who have consistently tricked the farmers for decades.
  • MSP was declared, but very little was made on MSP. The MSP was tricked for years. Large loan waiver packages were announced in the name of farmers. But they did not reach the small and marginal farmers. That is, the debt waiver was also cheated. When history has been deceitful, then two things are natural. The first is that if the farmer is apprehensive about the talk of governments many times, then there is decades of history behind it. Secondly, it has become a compulsion for those who break promises, trick them, to spread the lie that what used to be before is still going to happen.

Promise not fulfilled on paper, money sent to farmers’ account

  • When you see the track record of this government, the truth will come out automatically. We had said that we will stop black marketing of urea and give sufficient urea to the farmer. Urea deficiency was not allowed in the last 6 years. Even when every activity was closed till the lockdown, there was no problem. We promised that Swaminathan would give one and a half times MSP of cost in line with the Commission’s recommendation. This promise was not only fulfilled on paper, but has reached the bank accounts of the farmers.
  • Talking about pulses only, in the five years before 2014, pulses of around six and a half crores were purchased from the farmer. But in the subsequent 5 years, we have bought pulses worth about 49 thousand crores, i.e. about 75 times increase. In the 5 years prior to 2014, the earlier government had purchased paddy worth 2 lakh crores. But in the subsequent 5 years, we have passed 5 lakh crore rupees as MSP of paddy to the farmers. That is, almost two and a half times more money has reached the farmer.
  • In the 5 years before 2014, farmers got around 1.5 lakh crore rupees on the purchase of wheat. At the same time, wheat farmers have got 3 lakh crores rupees in our 5 years i.e. around 2 times. Now tell me that if the mandis and the MSP were to be removed, then why should they invest so much to give them strength? Our government is spending crores of rupees to modernize the mandis.

Cheating threatens farmers

You have to remember, these are the people who used to raise questions about PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. These people used to spread the rumor that this money is being given in view of the election and after the election the same money will have to be given back with interest. In a state, the government there, due to its political interest, is still not allowing farmers to take advantage of this scheme. Direct assistance is being provided to the bank accounts of more than 10 crore farmer families of the country. So far, about 1 lakh crore rupees have been reached to the farmers.

The truth of those who spread illusions on the basis of apprehensions is constantly coming before the country. When farmers understand their lies on one subject, they start spreading lies on another subject. I realize that decades of cheating threaten farmers. But now not with deceit, work is being done with holy intentions like Ganga water. Farmer families, which still have some concerns, have some questions, so the government is also constantly answering them. I am confident that the farmers who have some doubts on agricultural reforms today, will also increase their income by taking advantage of these agricultural reforms in future.

Opposition hit back at BJP government

SP spokesperson Anurag Bhadoria said that the BJP had no connection with the farmers. If the BJP makes any sense to the farmers, then why would they bring the bill in their favor? They do not have to talk to the farmer, they have to help the Dhannaseths. Prabhu Ram is very angry with the Bharatiya Janata Party, because the farmer who feeds the country is forced, the children are upset, the children are upset with the unemployed. Crimes are happening to the girls and they all have their responsibility. Because the Bharatiya Janata Party has forgotten, the soul is the divine.

Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu said that, this distance from farmers has become a compulsion for the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Modi to lead his government. Because the bill he has brought is not in the interest of farmers. Therefore, the Prime Minister of the country reached Varanasi, 900 kilometers away to talk about farmers, farmers who have gathered from all over the country against their demands and bills reached Delhi border, they could be talked in Delhi itself. When will the Prime Minister think for the farmers? When will the demands of the Annadata of the country be considered?
