Regional MLA Thakur Satyapal Singh Rathore complained to Tourism and Culture Minister Thakur Jaiveer Singh on the delay in the beautification of Ramlila Maidan and boundary wall construction work in Aliganj, Etah. After the complaint of the MLA, the minister informed the concerned authorities.

- Budget for beautification work: The state government had allocated an amount of Rs 1 crore 88 lakh for the beautification of Ramlila Maidan and construction of boundary wall.
- First installment The first installment of Rs 55 lakh has already been allotted to the executing agency. But the work has not seen the expected pace.
- Ramlila is being staged in the fair city of Vijay Dashami. But due to delay in work, the upcoming Vijay Dashami fair may be celebrated in a deserted ground.
Regional MLA Thakur Satyapal Singh Rathore complained to Tourism and Culture Minister Thakur Jaiveer Singh regarding the delay in the beautification of Ramlila Maidan and boundary wall construction work.
Jal Nigam’s Junior Engineer Amit Verma said that the contractor has cited excessive rain as the reason for the delay in the construction work and he has assured to start the work soon and complete it.
The MLA said that Lord Shri Ram is a symbol of Hindu faith. Negligence in beautification of their grounds will not be tolerated. He expressed hope that the complaint made to the minister would be taken seriously.
This matter raises questions on the functioning of the local administration. Especially when such works are getting delayed during festival times. Due to the talks between the local MLA and the Minister, it is expected that the construction work will be expedited soon.
