The Bombay High Court has also refused to grant bail to Armaan Kohli. On October 25, a bail petition was filed on behalf of Armaan, hearing which the court rejected it. NCB had seized 1.2 grams of cocaine from Armaan’s house in August 2021. They have been in custody since then. Two others arrested in the same case, Karim Dhanani and Imran Ansari, have been granted bail.
Earlier on October 14, the Special NDPS Court had also rejected the bail plea of Armaan Kohli. Armaan’s house was raided by NCB as part of Operation Rolling Thunder. The agency is continuously taking action against the network of drug peddlers and suppliers in Mumbai since the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Drug paddler took Kohli’s name
The decision to interrogate and then arrest Kohli was taken by the NCB following certain “disclosures” made during Saturday’s custodial interrogation of Ajay Raju Singh, the main seller of drugs. After 14 days of judicial custody, his remand was extended till September 1. Then NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede had claimed that apart from drugs, Armaan is also an accused in some other serious case. It was revealed in the investigation that the cocaine found from Kohli’s house is from South America.
Armaan has already been arrested
Armaan was arrested during the Bigg Boss 7 show when Sofia filed a complaint against him for hitting him with a mop. Although he was initially booked by the Santa Cruz Police for assault, the Lonavala City Police also accused him of sexual harassment. A few days later, Armaan was released on bail.
