A special court in Lucknow has issued a non-bailable warrant against IPS officer Manilal Patidar in the death case of crusher businessman Indrakant Tripathi in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. A non-bailable warrant has also been issued against him along with two other policemen, Daroga Devendra Shukla and Constable Arun Yadav.
A case against Patidar under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 234/20 section 306/387 / 120B / 504/506 7/8/12/2013 at Kabrai police station. Police has not been able to find any clue of IPS Manilal Patidar till now.
Case of death of indrakant tripathi
On 8 September, businessman Indrakant Tripathi was found in Mahoba on the Jhansi-Mirzapur highway in an injured condition after being shot in his own car. He was admitted to the Regency Hospital in Kanpur, where he died on September 11 while undergoing treatment. A day before the incident, the businessman released a video message on social media accusing Mahoba’s then SP Manilal Patidar of demanding bribe.
Chief Minister Yogi took action on IPS Manilal Patidar
Crusher businessman Indrakant Tripathi said in the video that IPS Manilal Patidar had also threatened to kill him and implicate him in a fake case after he expressed his inability to pay bribe. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath suspended the then SP Mahoba Manilal after taking cognizance of this viral video of the businessman. Also, a case of murder, attempt to murder and corruption case was registered against 4 people including IPS, Kabrai police station incharge Devendra Shukla.
