Non-Covid OPD is going to start from Friday, June 11 at Lala Lapjat Rai Medical College, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. For the last three months, OPD services were closed in the medical college due to corona. Only the OPD of Kovid was running. OPD is being started for the convenience of the patients. OPD will run from 8 am to 11 am and patients will be seen. On April 13, the state government had closed the OPDs of medical colleges.
Social distancing will have to be followed
Patients coming to OPD will have to follow social distancing. To prevent corona infection, the rules have to be taken care of. OPD of 2 thousand patients daily in Meerut Medical College

Telemedicine facility was running now
After the closure of OPDs in medical hospitals on April 13, the government had ordered to start telemedicine facility in hospitals. Telemedicine facilities were running in various departments related to ENT, Eye, Skin diseases, Pediatrics, Women and Gynecology, Orthopedic diseases. The doctors were giving treatment to the patients over the phone itself.
Medicine counter also started, telemedicine facility will also be operational
Medical College Principal Dr. Gyanendra Singh told that OPD is starting from today. Along with treatment and counseling, medicines will also be given to the patients. Apart from this, patients can also avail treatment facility on the eSanjeevani app. Along with this, the telemedicine facility started during Kovid will also be operational.
