The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) has come up with a new benchmark for weight, height and food constituent for men and women. The premiere research body signified standard in a released report. The NIN has increased 5kg to the ideal weight of Indians. Now, the weight of a normal man should be 65 Kg while the weight of a woman should be 55 kg. The research body as also set reference for height. Earlier, the standard height for Indian men was 5.6 feet (171cm) and a woman was 5 feet (152cm). Now, it has been revised to 5.8 feet (177cm) for a man and 5.3 feet (162cm) for a woman.
