Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Rajesh Bhushan on December 15 said that the number of COVID-related cases in India is 7,178 per million population while the global average is 9,000 cases per million population. He said, โ€œThe data of active cases of COVID-19 are continuously declining. The number of deaths had seen a peak in April and since then it is declining. The number of cases per million population in India continues to be amongst the lowest in the world. The number of cases in India is 7,178 per million population, the global average is 9,000.โ€
