Omghat Ganga Aarti was organized on Purnima in Fatehpur, where people were sworn in to keep the river Ganga clean by performing Ganga Aarti. It was organized by the state president of Ganga Bachao Seva Samiti.
Sarvesh, the department campaigner of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh said that it is the responsibility of all of us to keep the Ganga clean. To save Mother Ganga from getting contaminated, attention should be paid to cleanliness.

On the occasion of Ganga Aarti, Swami Vigyanand Maharaj said that in 2007, an initiative to stop idol immersion in the Ganges river was taken from Fatehpur to save the river from getting polluted. Due to this, a cleanliness campaign is being carried out continuously to stop the dirt on the banks of river Ganga. People are being administered oath regarding cleanliness to maintain cleanliness around the river Ganga. He said that all the plans are being made by the Central and State Governments to keep the river Ganga clean, for which people themselves need to come forward and support this campaign.
