Two youths committed suicide by hanging in Kanpur. One hanged himself after a quarrel with his girlfriend during a phone conversation. While the other hanged after a family dispute. Police reached the information, after investigation, sent the body for post-mortem. The post-mortem report confirmed the death of both of them by hanging.
Case-1: Young man hanged himself after quarrel with girlfriend
24-year-old Sanjeev Gautam alias Chhotu, resident of Rawatpur village of Kalyanpur, used to work as an electrician. The family consists of elder brother Ravindra and younger Dinesh and mother Urmila. The elder brother told that Sanjeev was an addict of liquor, due to which there used to be disputes in the house every day. On Thursday night, a woman was talking to a female friend on mobile. The family members had opposed the talks. After this, Sanjeev committed suicide by hanging himself. Late in the night when the mother went to call her for food, her body was found hanging on the noose. When they raised an alarm on this, the brothers came to know. After this, Kalyanpur police reached the spot to investigate.
Case-2: Young man hanged after quarrel with wife
32-year-old tempo driver Rampal alias Ramashish, resident of Palhepur village of Narwal, committed suicide by hanging himself late on Thursday night. He is survived by wife Sunita and two sons Aryan and Shiva. The son told that father Rampal had attempted suicide by hanging in the past as well. But his relatives saved him in time. Late in the night, he hanged himself by closing the door, till the time the relative brought him down, his breathing had stopped. In the investigation of the Narwal police, it came to light that after a quarrel with the wife and domestic discord, the matter of death by hanging has come to the fore.
