40 Sub Health Centers running in rented buildings in Ambedkar Nagar will soon get their own buildings. Approval was given for the construction of these buildings recently, the construction work of which has started. With its construction, a population of about two lakh will be benefited. About 12 crore 25 lakh rupees will be spent in the construction.

There are 323 health sub-centres operating in the district.

A total of 323 sub health centers are being operated in the district to provide better treatment facilities to the patients of rural areas. Out of this, 170 centers are being run in the health department’s own building, while 153 health sub-centres are being run in rented buildings. Patients coming here are not able to get the benefit of health facilities in a better way because of the operation in rented buildings. To get rid of the patients from this problem, the government approved the construction of buildings of 40 health sub-centres. In these health centres, 21 centers are being constructed by the executive body LACFED and 19 by PAXFED.

Departmental officials have expressed hope that these centers will start functioning in their own building being constructed by the month of June. Under Engineer of Health Department, Vijaypal Singh said that the construction work of the proposed buildings of health sub-centres is going on at a fast pace. Every effort will be made to start the operation of these centers by June.
