A passenger who was drinking alcohol in the Shatabdi Express train going from Rani Kamlapati station to New Delhi was taken off by the RPF at Lalitpur station and his medical examination was done. He was challaned. The CTI had informed the control room.

Lalitpur RPF station in-charge Arjun Yadav said that on Friday at 5.15 pm, information was received from the commercial control room Jhansi that a passenger was drinking alcohol in the gallery of coach number C5 of train number 12001 New Delhi Shatabdi Express going from Rani Kamlapati to New Delhi. The RPF team reached platform number three of the station and as soon as the train stopped, the personnel reached the coach.
The passenger had boarded from Bhopal
Here, on-duty CTI Vishnu Kant Tiwari was found, on whose written memo the passenger who was consuming alcohol was caught and taken down. On interrogation, he revealed his name as Lakhan Singh (42) and said that he was travelling from Bhopal in berth 16 of BGLJ coach C5. As he was in an inebriated state, Lakhan Singh was taken off the train and taken to the district hospital for a health check-up. Here, the RPF found him to be consuming alcohol, after which the passenger was challaned.
