People got relief from the bright sunshine in Meerut on Wednesday evening. After the storm and rain, the mercury remained below 40 degrees. However, due to the rain, power was cut off in many areas. After which the phones of the power house started ringing. In the areas where there was a small fault, there was no electricity.

After bright sunshine during the day, the weather changed on Wednesday evening. The change in weather brought a lot of relief from the heat. Due to rain with strong winds, the power supply of half the city came to a halt. Power cables broke on Bijli Bamba bypass. Due to which traffic on both sides of this route was disrupted. Hoardings and unipoles also fell on many routes.

Temperatures dropped below 40 degrees Celsius
After the intense heat of Nautapa, the temperature has definitely come down below 40 degrees Celsius, but the heat continues to be harsh. There was bright sunshine since morning. The maximum temperature was recorded at 39.8 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius. This was 2.5 degrees above normal. After about 7:00 pm in the night, the weather changed and strong winds started blowing.

According to the weather department, rain was predicted on Thursday. Clouds were overcast with strong winds since morning. Although light sunshine also came out in the afternoon, people got relief from the humid heat due to the wind. In the areas where power supply was disrupted, the employees of the electricity department are busy working there.
