Worst condition of the road leading to the park named after PM Narendra Modi in TP Nagar
There is no road or passage outside the park named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Meerut’s Transport Nagar. The passers-by have to go from one side to the other through deep potholes and water. Local residents have complained to the regional councilors and public representatives many times, but no one is ready to listen.
PM Park out of reach of people
The condition of the road leading to the park named after PM Narendra Modi is worse, potholes on the road, no way for people to leave.
This is the only way to reach Narendra Modi Park. But due to bad road, people are not able to go to the park. The road leading to the park has deep potholes. The pits are filled with water all the time. Due to this the entire road remains covered with mud and dirt. Under compulsion, people have to pass through here but there is a danger of falling in the mud.
The road made in 2021 did not last even a year
Broken road outside Narendra Modi Park.
The stone outside the park tells the story of the mess in the road work. In January 2021, this road was built and stone was installed here. The road leading to Rajiv Goyal’s house from a youth’s house near Modipark in Ward 35 Gupta Colony was paved.
The work of drain and interlocking tiles was done on the way from the house of former councilor Pramod Garg to Ankur’s house near Gupta Colony Modipark. The work on this road of about 162 meters was done under the 14th Finance Commission. This work was done by Sehrawat Contractor and Suppliers on behalf of the Municipal Corporation. But after six months the road broke down.
Bad condition in the assembly of Minister of State Somendra Tomar
The installation stone outside the park is written by Mayor Sunita Verma and Minister of State Somendra Tomar, this area is the assembly constituency of Somendra Tomar.
This area comes under Meerut’s South Vidhan Sabha constituency. At present, Dr. Somendra Tomar, Minister of State for Energy Department in the UP government is the local MLA. Somendra Tomar was the MLA here even when the work was done in 2021. The name of Somendra Tomar is also written on the stone giving information about the construction work. But this is the condition of the road leading to the park named after PM Modi in the area of the Minister of State. Mayor Sunita Verma, then Municipal Commissioner Manish Bansal, councilor Poonam Gupta and engineer Yashwant Kumar have also been named under whose supervision the road was built.
