Two days ago, a street cart shopkeeper, Ashok Kashyap, was robbed at Surrey Bazaar in Gandhi Colony, a posh colony of the city. There was no clue about the culprits of that robbery, now a fresh photo has surfaced of Shanti Nagar in New Mandi police station area. In which, troubled by the incidents, the city residents themselves have been forced to stand guard in the colony with sticks and rods.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Mandal President Rajesh Parashar is also among those on guard. According to the people of the locality, incidents of theft are happening daily in the area and anti-socials and drug addicts are roaming in the locality every day. Have continuously complained to the police station in-charge and outpost in-charge. But no hearing is taking place anywhere, after which they themselves are forced to stand guard.
Rajesh Parashar says that there is no patrolling in the police station area of โโNew Mandi, he was complaining about this for many months. But once, when an incident took place, the outpost in-charge came. And no police officer came.
