Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the centenary celebrations of Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, West Bengal through video conferencing at 11 am on Thursday, 24 December. The event will also be attended by the Governor of West Bengal and the Union Minister of Education.

Giving information about this, the PM office informed through a social media account that the Prime Minister will address the centenary celebrations of Santiniketan, a Visva-Bharati University in the prestigious institutions of the country, from 11 am on December 24.
University established in 1921
This institute was established in 1921 by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Visva-Bharati is also the oldest central university in the country. Also in May 1951, under an Act of Parliament, Visva-Bharati was declared a central university and an institution of national importance. The university followed the pedagogy developed by Gurudev Tagore, which gradually evolved into the modern university format.
