The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached assets worth Rs 14.45 crore of Gitanjali Group and Mehul Choksi. Choksi is the fugitive diamond trader who along with his nephew Nirav Modi is accused of allegedly perpetrating Rs 15,600-crore fraud through Letters of Understanding (LoUs) of Punjab National Bank (PNB). The properties attached, under the anti-money laundering law, include a flat measuring 1,460 sq feet located at O2 Tower in Goregaon area of Mumbai, gold and platinum jewellery, diamond stones, necklaces made of silver and pearls, watches and a Mercedes Benz car, the ED said in a statement.
