After hard work, the Cyber โโโโCrime Police Station in Amethi has succeeded in returning Rs 6 lakh 22 thousand to more than half a dozen people. This step has been taken in cases of fraud of more than Rs 17 lakh by cyber criminals.

Detailed information about fraud
Cyber โโcriminals had extorted money from victims in different ways. Mo. Jais, a resident of Alin, had complained that he was cheated of Rs 14 lakh in the name of buying sariya. Similarly, Vipin Jaiswal had invested Rs 2 lakh 29 thousand in Hibox App, while Rs 6 thousand were deducted from Dilip Kumar Yadav’s account and Rs 1500 were deducted from Anubhav Raj’s account.

In a particular case, Rs 50,000 was deducted from Moushumi Tiwari, a woman constable posted in the SP office, in the name of redeeming reward points through Google Pay. Apart from this, Rs 36,901 was withdrawn from Ramkumar’s account by stealing his mobile. Overall, cyber criminals had defrauded all of them to the tune of Rs 17 lakh 23 thousand 177.

The Cyber โโCrime Police Station investigated all the cases seriously and started the process of getting the money returned to the victims. Till now Rs 6 lakh 22 thousand have been returned, which has brought relief to the victims.
The cyber crime police station has assured that it will continuously take action in such cases and will also organize awareness programs to keep people safe.
