Regarding the MLC elections, the observers reviewed the election preparations with the DM and other officials at Vikas Bhavan.
Voting on MLC teacher and graduate seat is to be held on January 30. Observers for both the seats reached Kanpur on Tuesday. The Election Commission has sent Saurabh Babu for graduate seat and Dr. Balkar Singh for teacher’s constituency as observers to Kanpur. Observers reviewed the preparations for polling and counting of votes at Vikas Bhawan.
Voting will be held in 163 polling stations
Giving information to the observers, District Election Officer and DM Vishak ji said that 100 polling stations have been set up in Kanpur division graduate constituency and 63 polling stations in Kanpur division teacher constituency. Similarly, there are total 1,64,428 voters in Kanpur block graduate constituency and 11,485 voters in teacher’s constituency.
Observers of both the seats reviewed the election.
Kanpur divided into 11 zones and 30 sectors
The constituency is divided into 11 zones and 30 sectors. Both the training of all zonal and sector magistrates have been completed. Arrangements have also been made for vehicles for the departure of polling parties. Videography is being done at all the polling places.
Polling parties will leave from ITI
The strong room has been set up at ITI Pandunagar. The departure and return of the polling parties will be done from here. The counting of votes will also be done here. The observers instructed that the preparation for polling should be checked at every level. CDO Sudhir Kumar, Deputy District Election Officer and ADM Finance Rajesh Kumar, ADM City Atul Kumar were present in the meeting.
