Seeing the excellent work of Prayagraj in the field of TB, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has honored the District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. AK Tiwari. Dr. Tiwari has been awarded Sushruta Award in a function organized in Delhi. In the last one year, 19 thousand TB patients were identified and treated in Prayagraj. In this, 99% patients were also tested for HIV and diabetes. About 93% of the patients were given the benefit of Nikshay Nutrition Scheme in which Rs 500 per month was sent directly to the accounts of these patients.
