Three miscreants who robbed a truck on the highway were arrested by the police of Shankargarh police station of Yamuna Nagar. The captured robbers used to chase the trucks. Whenever they got a chance, they would tie up the driver and the helper and leave them in the fields and run away with the truck. A few days ago, a truck loaded with cement was looted in Prayagraj. The police teams engaged in the investigation reached the robbers. The two looted trucks and goods have been recovered. The miscreants have confessed to robbing several more trucks in Ganga Nagar and Yamuna Nagar. These trucks were sold in Madhya Pradesh. The police is locating them.
DCP Yamuna Nagar Shraddha Narendra Pandey said that the truck robbers were Mahmood Khan, resident of Kalkotiya police station, Haridatt Nagar, Ginrat Shravasti, Akil and Mohd., resident of Asaon police station, Sangipur Pratapgarh. Nadeem resident of Dandupur Padan police station Leelapur Pratapgarh has been arrested. A looted truck belonging to Kotwali Nagar police station Pratapgarh and another truck looted from Shankargarh have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
Used to prepare fake papers and sell them in other states
Police said that after robbing the truck, the miscreants would sell the goods and then after a few days, prepare fake documents of the truck and sell it in other states. Forged documents and papers of many tampered trucks have been found from the miscreants. Information about two trucks sold in Madhya Pradesh is being ascertained.
Cement factory truck looted and arrested
On the night of 28th February, these miscreants had looted the truck of Ultratech Cement Factory located in Shankargarh area. The truck driver and attendant were thrown into the forest hostage. When a case was registered in Shankargarh police station, the police started investigation. When the CCTV cameras around the cement factory were scanned, it became clear that the miscreants were tracking them from here. The miscreants were seen in the CCTV footage of several days. On this basis, the police took the investigation forward and arrested him.
