Premier League: Liverpool Down Bournemouth, Tottenham Rally Past Brentford, Fulham Stun Newcastle – News18

Luis Diaz found the net twice within the opening half-hour of the game before Darwin Nunez tripled the Reds’ lead over the Cherries at the Anfield to post a 3-0 win. Spurs rallied back from a goal down to clinch a 3-1 win over Brentford thanks to strikes from Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson and James Maddison.

Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth

Liverpool bounced back to winning ways with a dominant 3-0 triumph over Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday to clinch their fourth win of the season.

Luis Diaz found the net twice within the opening half-hour of the game before Darwin Nunez tripled the Reds’ lead over the Cherries at the Anfield.

Tottenham 3-1 Brentford

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring on the day as he put the visiting Bees ahead against the Spurs, but goals from Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson turned the tide of the game in favour of the hosts.

James Maddison added Tottenham’s third in the 85th minute to give Ange Postecoglou’s men their second win in the season.

Leicester 1-1 Everton

Everton clinched the surprise lead thanks to a 12th-minute strike from Iliman Ndiaye that stunned the home fans. But Leicester restored parity through a Stephy Mavidid strike in the 73rd minute of the game.

Southampton 1-1 Ipswich

The Saints clinched an early lead against the newly promoted Ipswich as Tyler Dibling found the back of the net after just five minutes of play.

Sam Morsey levelled for the newcomers in the fifth minute of second half added time to salvage a point at St Mary’s.

Fulham 3-1 Newcastle

Raul Jiminez and Emile Smith Rowe both struck in the first period of the game to help Fulham establish a 2-0 lead before the halftime break.

The magpies pulled on back through Harvey Barnes’ 46th-minute strike as the Englishman cut his side’s deficit in half right after the resumption of play.

But, Reiss Nelson put the result beyond doubt with his goal in the second minute of stoppage time.

Aston Villa 3-1 Wolves

A Matheus Cunha goal in the 25th minute of the game put the visiting Wolves ahead against Aston Villa. But Ollie Watkins levelled for the hosts at Villa Park in the 73rd minute of the game.

Ezri Konsa’s 88th-minute strike and a goal from Jhon Duran in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time gave Unai Emery’s men all three points on offer in their valiant come-from-behind win over the Wolves.
