Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijatya said, “The water migration situation in Ayodhya, the unexpected rains. What are the preparations of the Municipal Corporation, District Administration and PWD in this regard? A meeting has been going on with the Chief Minister for the last two days. In which preparations for the upcoming festivals like Kavad Yatra, Sawan Mela, Nag Panchami and Moharram were discussed. Work should be done according to the convenience of the devotees during the festivals.
Storm water drainage system is like Hyderabad
Amrit Abhijatya said, “In various districts of the state including Ayodhya where there is waterlogging, storm water drainage system will be made like Hyderabad, for this a drainage plan will be made and approved by the government.

On reaching Ayodhya, the Principal Secretary was welcomed by Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, Municipal Commissioner Santosh Kumar Sharma and other senior officials at the Circuit House. During this, the Principal Secretary received information from the officials of Municipal Corporation, PWD, Jal Nigam and other related departments regarding the actions being taken at various places affected by heavy rains in the city.
Inspection of waterlogged areas
The Divisional Commissioner informed about the pump sets and other arrangements installed for water drainage. In the next phase, Principal Secretary Ayodhya inspected Jalwanpura affected by waterlogging and directed to complete the work of laying pipeline etc. being laid by Ayodhya Development Authority for water drainage soon. Finally, he also saw the drains already constructed for water drainage on Ayodhya bypass. During this, Ayodhya Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi along with Municipal Corporation officials, Executive Engineer and other concerned were present.
