The Congress has attacked the Mission Shakti campaign launched by the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh in the context of women safety. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged that the government is trying to cover up the crimes against women in UP.
Priyanka Gandhi wrote on social media on Wednesday that when the government’s purpose is only hypocrisy and false propaganda, the missions will fail. The mission power of the BJP government to expose the rising crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh has failed. Citing a news report, the Uttar Pradesh in-charge of the Congress claimed that a case is being registered after a month against those who burnt a woman. Crime is increasing in the state.
