Priyanka’s mother had apprehensions about Nick: Madhu Chopra said – after meeting she felt that he is the best partner for her daughter.

Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra has told that when Priyanka was going to marry Nick Jonas, she was apprehensive about whether Nick would be a good husband or not. Madhu was very worried about the fact that Priyanka had decided to spend her entire life with an American and not an Indian. His worries went away when he met Nick.

In the very first meeting, Madhu felt that Nick was the perfect partner for her daughter.

I was sad to see my daughter go away.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Madhu was asked if she was worried when Priyanka was marrying a foreigner and not an Indian. On this Madhu said- Priyanka has already studied outside India, so no difference was felt between fair, black and brown.

All these things were normal in our family also. I was just worried that she would go far away from us after marriage. But then I also felt that we could meet each other in 15 hours.

I had doubts about Nick
During the interview, Madhu Chopra also mentioned about her first meeting with Nick Jonas. He told that he was apprehensive about whether Nick would be the right partner for Priyanka or not. But after the first meeting his doubts were dispelled.

Regarding this he said- We liked Nick immediately. I spoke with Nick for a long time one-on-one and got to know what he is like as a person. After this conversation I realized that he is the right person for my daughter. He is exactly the kind of person I wanted as a husband for Priyanka.

4 crores were spent on the wedding venue itself
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra got married as per Hindu and Christian rituals at Umaid Bhawan in Udaipur on December 2, 2018. Jodhpur’s Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace was booked for Rs 4 crore for the wedding. The wedding functions in Rajasthan started from 29th November and continued till 3rd December. The marriage took place on 2 December as per Hindu customs and on 3 December as per Christian customs.

Priyanka-Nick’s love story
For the first time in September 2016, Nick sent a message to Priyanka on Twitter. Then in 2017, Priyanka and Nick were invited to the Met Gala by designer Ralph Lauren. Earlier both of them had met in New York at a drinks party. After this meeting, Priyanka called Nick to her house. On the third date, Nick understood that Priyanka was the girl he wanted to marry. After this he proposed Priyanka and then both of them got married.
