Former IPS officer and ex-Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on January 12 alleged that Punjab government was willing to compromise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security in Ferozepur. “The committee set up by Supreme Court is most welcome and absolutely needed because it has been the most disastrous performance by Punjab civil administration and police, which set a very bad example for the rest of the country. The failure was suspected earlier but now it is obvious. Punjab government was willing to compromise PM’s security. The officers will have to pay a heavy price for acceptance of illegal and irregular orders. The Chief Secretary, DGP and Home Secretary are accountable for this,” Bedi added.
