Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British institution that releases the ranking of global universities every year, has released the ‘QS Global University Ranking 2025’ on June 4. In this list, only two institutes of India have been able to make it to the top 150. IIT Bombay has been ranked 118th and IIT Delhi has been ranked 150th. This year’s ranking is the longest. This time QS has included more than 1,500 universities from more than 105 higher education systems.

Delhi University got 328th rank
IISC Bangalore has also risen in the ranking in the QS World University Rankings 2025. It has been ranked 211th.
IIT Kharagpur is ranked 222, IIT Madras is ranked 227, and IIT Kanpur is ranked 263.
Delhi University has also been included in this list and has got 328th position.
After this, IIT Roorkee is at 335th position, IIT Guwahati is at 344th position and Anna University is at 383rd position.
Apart from these, IIT Indore is ranked 477th, IIT BHU is ranked 531st and JNU got 580th rank.

The United States of America (USA) is the country with the most universities in the QS World University Rankings 2025. 197 institutes have been ranked in it. It is followed by the United Kingdom (UK) at 90 and China at 71.

MIT on top for the 13th consecutive year
Once again, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has maintained its dominance at the top. It has been at the top for the last 13 years in a row.
Imperial College London has climbed four places to reach the second position. At the same time, the University of Oxford and Harvard University are at third and fourth place respectively. Cambridge University is included in the top 5.
