A fresh spell of rain lashed several parts Delhi late Saturday evening, bringing relief from the heat. The areas including Vasant Kunj, Munirka, Lajpat Nagar, INA and Narela witnessed light rainfall
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra for the next three days. The weather department has also said that heavy downpour is likely over northeast states in the coming days. Delhi, which received rain on the first day of the G20 Summit, is also likely to receive light showers on Sunday.
Here are the latest updates on monsoon conditions across the country:
- Heavy rainfall very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands till September 12 and over Odisha on September 12 and 13.
- Madhya Pradesh is likely to receive heavy rainfall till September 11.
- For the northeast, IMD has predicted very heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 12.
- In Northern India, heavy rainfall activity is likely over Uttar Pradesh on September 10 and on Uttarakhand till September 13.
- Heavy rainfall is also very likely over ghat areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on September 10 and over Kerala & Mahe till September 11. It is also likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on September 12 and 13.
- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said that there will be an increase in rainfall activity over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from September 12 due to the development of a fresh cyclonic circulation over northwest & adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal.
- Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra is also likely to receive heavy rainfall on September 10.  The weather department has also issued a yellow alert for Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra till Sunday. Moreover, in Mumbai, a green alert has been issued till September 12 with a forecast of light to moderate rainfall.

The maximum temperature came two notches below normal at 32 degrees Celsius, as per the India Meteorological Department.

- The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) said in a statement that the average Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 39.20. The city also recorded light rain on Saturday.
- The Met office has also predicted generally cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle for Sunday. They further said that the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle around 34 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
- The IMD has also installed an additional automatic weather station to provide specialised and real-time weather forecast near Pragati Maidan, where the G20 Summit is being hosted.
