A woman from Rajasthan’s Nasirabad has registered a case of molestation and assault against her uncle from her in-law’s family at the local police station.
In her complaint, the woman said that her uncle-in-law had been making inappropriate gestures towards her for a long time. Recently, when she was alone at home, he grabbed her hand and misbehaved with her. The woman stated that he used to take advantage of the fact that her husband was physically challenged.
When the woman shared this incident with her in-laws, instead of coming to her rescue, they came to her house and attacked her.
The woman has registered a case against her uncle-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law. She stated that ever since her husband became physically challenged after an accident, her uncle-in-law’s intentions toward her have worsened.
The woman said on October 20, when the woman’s husband was at his shop, her uncle-in-law held her inappropriately by her hand. When the woman complained about this to her aunt-in-law, she barged into her house in the evening to attack her.
The victim also shared that following the incident, her aunt-in-law and her brother-in-law came to her house in the evening along with the accused uncle-in-law. Following a heated argument, the uncle-in-law tore the woman’s clothes. When the husband protested against this act, he injured him as well as the woman with an axe.
The police have launched an investigation in this case and are taking further action against the accused.
