Celebs like Saif Ali Khan and Alia Bhatt attended Rajeev Kapoor’s Prayer Meet in Mumbai on Friday.
A Prayer Meet was held for the late Rajiv Kapoor in Mumbai on Friday evening. The Private Prayer Meet featured members of the Kapoor family including Neetu, Ranbir, Randhir, Babita, Karisma, as well as select celebs like Saif Ali Khan, Boney Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. On this occasion, Rajiv’s soul was worshiped for peace. 58-year-old Rajeev died of a heart attack on Tuesday afternoon.

Neetu said that there will be no ritual of fourth
Rajiv Kapoor’s sister-in-law Neetu Kapoor recently wrote in a social media post that her brother-in-law’s fourth will not be performed. He wrote, “The fourth meeting of the late Rajiv Kapoor due to the Kovid-19 epidemic will not be held. May his soul rest in peace. The entire Raj Kapoor family is part of your sorrow.”
Rajiv was the younger brother of Rishi-Randhir
Rajiv was the youngest of three brothers (Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor) and two sisters (Ritu Nanda and Reema Jain). His eldest sister Ritu Nanda and middle brother Rishi Kapoor died in January and April last year respectively.
Rajiv did not see the last film
Rajiv could not see the release of his comeback film ‘Tulsidas Junior’. The film is set to release this year, through which he was ready to return to Bollywood after 30 years. This film has been written and directed by Mridul. Sanjay Dutt and Dileep Tahil have important roles in the film. The film’s producer Ashutosh Gowariker said that his team had recently approached Rajiv to promote the film.
After Rajiv’s death, his co-actor Dalip Tahil had said in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, “This will be his last film. He has done a tremendous job in it. Humans were good. He is sad to pass away. But I am giving him Lucky would say that while leaving, he also gave something to the audience. I request the public to watch his film. Realize that this is Rajiv Kapoor’s last gift to the public. “
