Off-spinner Randiv has played 12 Tests, 31 ODIs and 7 T20s for Sri Lanka. Now he has become a bus driver in Australia.

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Sooraj Randiv has now become a bus driver. He is currently in Australia and plays cricket for a driver as well as a locker club. A photo of him driving the bus is also going viral on social media. He also helped the Australian team that played recently against India. Randiv had batting practice in the nets for the Australian batsmen.

Randiv has also been a part of the Sri Lankan team that reached the final of the 2011 ODI World Cup. At the same time, he was also part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), made in the champions in the 2012 IPL. He is also known for not allowing former Indian opener Virender Sehwag to make a century.

Randiv plays with cricketers like Pattinson and Siddle
Randiv started his new profession with a French-based company based in Melbourne, Australia. He has been reinstated as a driver by a company called Transdev. He reached Australia in 2019 itself. The club he plays for is recognized by Victoria Premier Cricket. Cricketers like James Pattinson and Peter Siddle also play for this club. Randiv played his last home match in Sri Lanka in April 2019.

Contributed to making CSK the champion in 2012
Randiv has also played in the world’s largest cricket league IPL. He was part of the CSK team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who became champion in 2012. Randiv played 8 matches in that season, in which he took 6 wickets. However, he never got a chance to play IPL after that.

Sehwag was denied for scoring a century
Randiv is known most by Indian fans for his no ball thrown in 2010. In that match against India, he had denied Sehwag a century. In the third match of the triangular series against Sri Lanka in 2010, India needed 1 run to win. Sehwag was on strike scoring 99 runs.

Randiv had to face a match ban for his actions
Randiv then deliberately threw a no-ball after talking to Tillakaratne Dilshan. Sehwag also hit a six on this ball, but due to no ball, Team India already won the match. Due to this, Sehwag could not complete his century. A match ban was also imposed on Randiv for this.

Randiv played 12 Tests and 31 ODIs for Sri Lanka.
Off-spinner Randiv has played 12 Tests, 31 ODIs and 7 T20s for Sri Lanka. He took 46 wickets in Tests, 36 wickets in ODIs and 7 wickets in T20s. Apart from this, he also played many good innings in batting. His best score was 56 runs.
