Inspector Raj Kishore was sent to jail by the Special Judge of POCSO Act on Thursday in a complaint filed for not registering a case of attempt to sexual offense in Pratapgarh. He is presently in-charge of writ cell in Fatehpur SP office.

Raj Kishore Baghrai was the SO in December 2016. A woman had come to the police station with a complaint. On December 28, 2016, at seven in the morning, her daughter was raped by her neighbor Sunny. Also beat him up. When she went to the accused’s house with a scuffle, her family members beat her. No report was filed at the police station. It was said that the inspectors are busy in the elections.

Victim mother ASP met with

When the victim’s mother met the ASP, an order was made to register the case. SO Raj Kishore called him to the police station on 8 January 2017. Got the thumb on a plain paper and returned it. Said to come later and take a copy of the FIR. She went on January 10 and handed over the copy of NCR. Later the SP ordered to register a case under appropriate sections.

But SO did not take action. On this, the victim’s mother filed a complaint on August 5, 2017, making Sunny, Bachai, Arjun, Anara Devi, Babli, Pale as well as SO Raj Kishore accused. In this case, Rajkishore appeared in the court of Special Judge of POCSO Act Pankaj Kumar Srivastava on Thursday. Taking him into custody, the court sent him to jail.

Interim bail application also rejected, hearing today
An application was filed in the court of Special Judge of POCSO Act to grant interim bail to Inspector Rajkishore. The plea for grant of bail to him continued till evening. Rajkishore was cited as having heart ailment. But the court rejected the application. Now the hearing on the bail application will be held on Friday, 23 September.
