Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has released the notification for Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) 2021 on Tuesday. According to the released notification, the online application process for the exam will start from January 11. The last date of application for the examination has been set as 8 February 2021. At the same time, admit cards will be issued from April 14 for the exam, while the exam will be on April 25.

31,000 teachers will be recruited

The examination for class VI to VIII will be from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. Whereas, classes for classes one to five will be from half to five o’clock. The last date for depositing the challan and collecting the fee at the bank branch is 4 February 2021. Interested candidates will be able to apply through rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in/reet2021. 31,000 teachers will be recruited in the state through the examination.

Application fee

  • Reit Level-1 or Reit Level-2 (for one paper only) – 550 rupees
  • Reit Level-1 and Reit Level-2 (for both papers) – 750 rupees

Weightage of Academy numbers reduced

This time, in order to benefit the candidates of Rajasthan in the REET exam, more general knowledge questions related to Rajasthan will come. Apart from this, the government has also taken an important decision to give weightage of 90 percent to the score of REET. While the weightage of marks obtained in academic education (BA, BCom, BSc or other graduate degree) will be 10 percent only. So far, 70/30 weightage is given in Third Great Teacher recruitment after REET examination. Under this, a merit list is issued giving a weightage of 70 percent of the marks obtained by REET and 30 percent weightage of marks obtained in academic education.
