Senior actor Rajeev Kapoor died on February 9 at the age of 58. A heart attack is said to be the cause of Rajiv’s death. The actor’s last visit was attended by many Bollywood celebrities, including Ashutosh Gowariker, a well-known director in the industry. After a long time, Rajiv was to appear in Ashutosh’s directorial film Tulsidas Junior, but sadly he passed away before the film’s release.

After Rajiv’s death, Ashutosh said in an interview to Hindustan Times, “I was a fan of Rajiv Kapoor since the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili. His debut performance was excellent. After keeping his memories for many years, we came into contact during the film Lagaan. Now when I got a chance in the film Tulsidas Junior, I cast him. He had a great experience working with him, he was very professional on sets. He used to play the character in a fun, relaxed manner. A few days ago I had called him for promotion, but now I am not sure that I am talking about him in the past.

Smita Patil, who appeared in many hit films like Earth, Mirch Masala, Manthan, died on 13 December 1986. The actress died of delivery in two weeks after giving birth to the first son Prateek Babbar. Smita’s last film, Guli Ki Badshah, was released on 17 March 1989, three years after her death. The actress did more than 80 films in her short film career.

Amrish Puri

Amrish Puri, who played the villain in several films including Mr. India, died on 12 January 2005 from Brain Hemrage. At the last time Amrish worked in two films Kisna and Kachcha Sadak.
