Greater Noida students were returning from Mussoorie On Sunday night at 11:30 pm on National Highway 58, a retired soldier fired five rounds indiscriminately at a tourist bus. The bullet touched the stomach of a student named Hriday Gupta and went out. More than 12 college students of Greater Noida were traveling in the tourist bus. Other students saved their lives by hiding behind the seats. The police detained the accused retired army man Nitin Sirohi, resident of Supertech Pallavapuram.

Soldier’s car collided with bike Anirudh Sharma, resident of Bhuni village of Sardhana police station area, told that he works in a food company providing online service. He was going back home by bike late at night. Meanwhile, his bike collided with the WagonR car moving ahead on the flyover in front of Pallavapuram Phase-II. After this, the accused car driver was assaulting retired army man Anirudh Sharma. Meanwhile, students returning from Mussoorie protested against this. So the accused took out the pistol. When the students boarded the bus, the accused opened fire. This caused panic on the highway. Police station reached on information Students Ansh, Rajveer, Neel, Hriday Gupta, Divyansh, Bagesh etc. told that they are studying in the college of Greater Noida. On November 14, more than a dozen boys and girls had gone to Mussoorie by booking a travel bus for an excursion. Police arrived on information and took the accused into custody.

The accused did not listen to anyone

Bus driver Anuj told that there was blood on the head of the accused retired soldier. He started firing from his licensed pistol. It seemed as if the accused would agree to take someone’s life. The accused also broke the glass panes of the bus with sticks. Fearing firing, pedestrians stopped their vehicles at a distance. The students also folded their hands in front of the accused. But the accused did not agree. The students have also accused the accused of misbehaving with the girl students.

Pistol confiscated, license will be canceled Police station head Munnesh Singh said that after getting information about the incident, police had reached the spot. The police took the accused retired soldier into custody from the spot. The licensed pistol of the accused has been confiscated. The report of cancellation of license will be sent to higher authorities. SP City Ayush Vikram Singh says that the accused is in custody. A case has been registered and action is being taken.
