His conviction was also upheld by the Kerala High Court. After this, Sreesanth reached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had asked the BCCI to reduce the duration of the ban imposed on them. After this, the BCCI removed the life ban imposed on him and made his ban 7 years, which ended on 12 September this year.

Sreesanth was part of the Indian team that won the World Cup

It remains to be seen whether Sreesanth is selected in the 15-member Kerala final squad. Sreesanth has played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20 matches for India. He was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011.

Yuvraj retired in June last year

At the same time, World Cup winning all-rounder Yuvraj Singh retired in June last year. However, he decided to resume playing for his home state on the request of Punjab Cricket Association secretary Puneet Bali. Barinder Saran also returned to the Punjab team

Apart from Yuvraj, Punjab fast bowler Barinder Saran has also returned. He was not included in the squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy by Punjab. All these players will take part in a local tournament in Ludhiana. After which the names of Punjab Final-15 will be announced.

Mushtaq Ali tournament will be played in January

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday released the schedule of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the defunct domestic tournament due to Corona. The tournament will be played from January 10 to 31 in 6 states. BCCI Sachin Jai Shah briefed the entire schedule.

All teams must report by 2 January

According to the board, due to Corona, the tournament will be played in a bio-secure environment. This bio-bubble will be made soon. Teams joining the tournament must report to Bio-Hub by 2 January.

BCCI’s mega preparations for IPL
