Nawazuddin Siddiqui played many minor roles before gaining popularity in the film industry, many of which may not have even been credited to him. One such film was ‘Shool’, directed by Ishwar Niwas. In this film released in 1999, Nawaz played the role of a waiter and he was not even paid for it. Raveena Tandon and Manoj Bajpayee played lead roles in the film.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently told that he was promised 2500 rupees for the role of waiter in the film, but later the money was not given to Nawaz. The actor made continuous rounds of the production office for 6-7 months for his money. When he did not get the money even after this, the actor figured out a clever way to withdraw money.

Had promised to pay 2500 rupees for the role.
Nawaz said during the conversation in a media interview, I had played small roles in many films. About many of these roles, I do not even tell people that I am in these films. I needed money to run my life. I played the role of a waiter taking orders from Raveena Tandon and Manoj Bajpayee in the film Shool. I was asked to pay 2500 rupees for this role, but that money was never given to me. This happened to me many times, but I remember this incident.

This is how Nawaz withdrew his money
Nawaz further said, “I made rounds of office for 6-7 months for two and a half thousand rupees. Money was not available, but food was available. What cleverness did I do later, I used to reach his office at lunch time. So Seeing my condition, he used to say ‘ will eat food?’ I said- ‘Yes’, then he said, ‘You will not get the money, but come to eat food.’ So I ate such food for one-and-a-half months, so my money became equal.”

Nawaz will be seen in ‘Heropanti 2’
Nawazuddin will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Heropanti 2’, starring Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff in lead roles. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is a sequel to the 2014 film Heropanti. Nawaz played the role of a criminal named Laila in the film. The film will release in cinemas on April 29.
