Rishabh Pant, who did excellent wicketkeeping in the India-Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup, was given the Best Fielder medal. This medal was presented to him by India’s former head coach Ravi Shastri. During this, he praised the overall performance of the team and Rishabh Pant’s comeback. Arshdeep Singh received this medal in the last match against Ireland.

Actually, in the India-Pakistan match held at Nassau Stadium in New York, India lost two wickets early. After this, Rishabh Pant came on the field and scored 42 runs in 31 balls to take the team to a respectable score of 119. In the second innings, Rishabh did excellent fielding and caught the catches of Fakhar Zaman, Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan. Due to this performance, he got the Best Fielder medal.

It is because of Pant’s hard work that he could make a comeback – Shastri
After giving the medal, Ravi Shastri said- When I heard about Rishabh’s accident, I had tears in my eyes. When I saw him in the hospital, his condition was very bad. It is because of his hard work that he could make a comeback and show a great game in a big match like India-Pakistan. Everyone knows about Rishabh’s excellent batting ability. But, the way he did wicketkeeping and fielding shows Rishabh’s hard work.

India won by defending its lowest total
In the high voltage match between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, India defended its lowest total. The team batted first and gave a target of 120 runs. In reply, Pakistan could only score 113 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in front of Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliant bowling and India won its second match of the T20 World Cup by 6 runs.

Medals are being given to create a positive environment
On the lines of the ODI World Cup, in this T20 World Cup too, BCCI is giving a medal to the best fielder of the match. This medal is given to the players in the dressing room after the match. This is not an official fielder’s award of the ICC, but BCCI started it from the ODI World Cup to create a positive atmosphere in Team India.
