Just when we think that technology cannot surprise us anymore, a new video takes over the Internet introducing us to some unbelievable inventions. This time, it’s a robotic dog, manufactured by a Chinese company. The purported video, being widely circulated on the Internet, shows the robo-dog navigating through tough and rugged terrain with unbelievable ease, proving its capability to perform various tasks. If this is not enough, the robotic dog is “unstoppable” even during “extreme weather conditions.”

The clip featuring the robotic dog was shared by Deep Robotics on YouTube. It was accompanied by the caption reading, “Extreme Off-Road | DEEPRobotics Lynx All-Terrain Robot.” Showcasing the four-legged Lynx robot travelling uphill and downhill, the clip is intriguing. The way the robotic canine crosses the hurdles which include rocks to low walls is impressive. As the video progresses, the captivating technology also shows its mastery in changing positions as it stands on both four feet and two feet. Wait, there’s more. It can also do backflips and take turns with speed.

Here’s what makes the robotic dog standout from its predecessors. Reportedly, it comes with all-terrain wheels instead of feet. The Sun, in one of its reports, mentioned that the robot can operate at extreme temperatures, ranging from -20°C to 55°C. Keeping in mind its usage during torrential rain, the machine has been kept waterproof, allowing it to function during particular weather. The outlet also added that the robo-dog can carry 20 kg of food and water which makes it suitable for heavy items.

While some users were impressed with the technology, others were terrified of the same, anticipating its negative usage. A user mentioned, “The military application of this technology is terrifying.” Seemingly impressed, another remarked, “That’s amazing. I like how it adapted to rolling down the hill and slowing its speed by tilting the entire body sideways. Perfect manoeuvrability.” One of them expressed concern saying, “This is insanity. People have no conception of what is coming.” One of the users shared his expectations from the robo canine as he mentioned, “When it transitions to two legged mode I expected a head to pop out like transformers.”
